In the factory, I am cut from a large metal sheet, a first step that gives an outline to what I will become. Each cut is made with millimeter precision, thanks to ultramodern industrial machines.
Step 2: Baptism of fire
Here I am, prepared for the next step: heat treatment. I am heated to extreme temperatures, sometimes up to 1,000°C, in an oven where the air seems to vibrate. This intense heat changes my internal structure: I become harder, more resilient. But that's not all. Immediately afterwards, I am immersed in a controlled cooling bath, a thermal shock that gives me my final solidity. This is an essential step: without this step, I would never be able to achieve the performances expected of me.
Step 3: Casting my identity
Once hardened, I move on to the cutting and polishing stage. High-precision machines sculpt me with tools to obtain a perfect shape. Here, I begin to come to life: a sharp point, an elegant back, and a harmonious curve that defines my personality.
My edges are carefully crafted. Table knives receive a fine polish to prevent accidental cuts, while my kitchen counterparts have a delicate, sometimes micro-serrated, edge to ensure a precise and long-lasting cut.
Step 4: Assembly and finishing
I now join a handle, an essential part of my transformation. In our facilities, each handle is designed to combine aesthetics and ergonomics. Whether it is made of steel, composite material, or noble wood, it is firmly fixed to my body to guarantee a perfect balance. Every detail counts, and each step is inspected to meet the quality requirements of TB 1648.
Finally, I get a flawless finish. A mirror polish or a matte texture, depending on my destiny: will I join a refined table or a busy kitchen? No matter, I am ready to excel.
Step 5: My entry into the world
After passing rigorous quality checks, I am carefully packaged with my peers. We are ready to take our first steps into the world, to join a family that will adopt us. On a table, I am not just a tool: I become an element of decoration, a piece that sparks conversations and enhances meals.
